大学简介

闽江师范高等专科学校，一所具有百年师范办学传统的名校。其历史可以追溯到1903年由陈宝琛创办的全闽师范学堂，被誉为“闽师之源”。在一个世纪的漫漫岁月里，学校几经变迁，涌现出许多蜚声海内外的仁人志士、专家学者，如冰心、庐隐、胡也频、林默涵、邓拓、翁良毓、陈元晖等，更有数以万计辛勤耕耘在基础教育园地上的、平凡而又不平凡的人民教师。

学校始终坚定正确的办学方向，努力强化办学特色，优化办学结构，专业设置日趋合理，师资建设不断加强，办学质量稳步提升，社会效益保持良好，走上了可持续的、内涵式发展的道路。

学校承担全市基础教育（含特殊教育）、幼儿教育的教学研究、教学指导及教学服务工作，承担中小幼师资培训、培养,教育行政干部培训和教育科研等任务，实现了基础教育师资“培养、培训、教研、科研”的四位一体，在全国同类院校中独具特色。

学校拥有完善的实践实训基地、功能齐全的校园网络和远程教育信息网络及计算机中心、多媒体教室等现代教育设施，是一所环境优美、管理规范、师资雄厚、特色鲜明的高校。

Dating its origin back to Fujian Normal School which was founded in 1903 by the famous late-Qing scholar Chen Baochen, who once served as the teacher of China’s last emperor, Minjiang Teachers College is one of the time-honored teacher training schools in Fujian, hailed as the province’s “cradle of teachers.” Throughout a century –old history , it has nursed social elites coming forth in large numbers, from the early communist revolutionists, Lin Mohan , Dengtuo , Wen Liangyu to the contemporary renowned writers, Bingxin, Luyin , Hu Yepin . Over the past decades or so, it has trained tens of thousands of qualified teachers in terms of primary education across the province.

In recent years, the college adheres to the mode of intensive development through highlighting the overall improvement of talents quality, which brings about properly tiered major settings and the enhancement of the teaching staff. The college enjoys a good reputation in terms of educational output, and thus maintains a sustainable development .

Minjiang Teachers College (MTC) is in charge of the teaching methodology research, teaching guidance and teaching services with regard to municipal primary education and pre-school education. Besides, it undertakes kindergarten and middle school teachers’ training. Minjiang Teachers College is distinguished among similar national colleges by its integration of talents cultivation, teachers’ training, teaching research and scientific research as far as the primary education is concerned .

Located in Shangjie Town, Minhou County, the New College Area is equipped with practical training centers , multifunctional distance education campus network, computer training centers and multi-media classrooms as well.
