1.第一句中的是中国的首都可译成the capital city ofChina，处理为北京的同位语，使译文更简洁。

2.第三句作为中国四大古都…很长，句子有两层意思：一是北京有800多年的建都历史;二是悠久的建都历史使北京有很多宏伟的宫廷建筑。因而将此句拆译为两句，用连接词thus连接起来。

3.北京旅游资源丰富，对游客开放的旅游景点达两百多处中，后半句可译为with+名词短语的结构，即 with more than 200 scenic spots open to tourists，句子简洁地道。
